Daintree National Park

Daintree is a quaint settlement on the northern side of Queensland. You will find that is a little over 50 km from Port Douglas and approximately 100 km from Cairns. The settlement was named after Richard Daintree, a geologist from Britain. The Dain tree river River meanders through the settlement and the Mcdowell Ramges Ranges are also present here.

It is one of the six species of endangered pigeons that call the park their home. It also houses the Cassowary bird. The other two rivers that flow through the park are Bloomfield and Mossman.
